There is no Frigate like a Book / Emily Dickinson

There is no Frigate like a Book

(1286)

There is no Frigate like a Book
To take us Lands away
Nor any Coursers like a Page
Of prancing Poetry –
This Traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of Toll –
How frugal is the Chariot
That bears the Human Soul –

Emily Dickinson

No hay fragata como un libro

(1286)

No hay fragata como un libro
que nos lleve tierras,
ni corcel como una página
de poesía encabritada .
Esta travesía la tomen los más pobres
Sin opresión de peaje;
¡Qué frugal es el carro
que lleva un alma humana!

Emily Dickinson

Non c'è Vascello che eguagli un Libro

(1286)

Non c'è Vascello che eguagli un Libro
Per portarci in Terre lontane
Né Corsieri che eguaglino una Pagina
Di scalpitante Poesia -
È un Viaggio che anche il più povero può fare
Senza paura di Pedaggio -
Tanto frugale è il Carro
Che porta l'Anima dell'Uomo -

Emily Dickinson

Il n’y a pas de Frégate comme un Livre

(1286)

Il n’y a pas de Frégate comme un Livre
Pour nous emporter en Terre lointaine
Ni de Coursier comme une Page
De fringante Poésie –
Le plus pauvre peut être du Voyage
Sans l’injure du Péage –
Qu’il est modeste le chariot
Qui porte l’âme Humaine.

Emily Dickinson

Bir kitap kadar elverişli değildir hiçbir gemi

(1286)

Bir kitap kadar elverişli değildir hiçbir gemi
Uzak ülkelere götürmek için bizi.
Ve hiçbir atın şaha kalkmış
Bir sayfa şiire ulaşamaz hızı.
En yoksullar bile katılabilir bu tura
Kaçak yolculuk etmelere son,
Ne kadar hesaplı şu
İnsan ruhunu taşıyan fayton.

Emily Dickinson
