"El hilo de la fábula." Los conjurados. / Jorge Luis Borges

Madrid: Alianza, 1985.)

"The guiding thread is lost; the labyrinth is lost as well. Now we do not even know if what surrounds us is a labyrinth, a secret cosmos, or a haphazard chaos. Our beautiful duty is to imagine that there is a labyrinth and a guiding thread. We will never come upon the guiding thread; perhaps we find it and we loose it in an act of faith, in a rhythm, in dreams, in the words that are called philosophy or in pure and simple happiness."

Jorge Luis Borges - ("El hilo de la fábula / The Thread of the Fable". Los conjurados. Madrid: Alianza, 1985.)

Another Bird / Forugh Farrokhzad

ANOTHER BIRD

My whole being is a dark chant
which will carry you
perpetuating you
to the dawn of eternal growths and blossoming
in this chant I sighed you sighed
in this chant
I grafted you to the tree to the water to the fire.

Life is perhaps
a long street through which a woman holding
 a basket passes every day

Life is perhaps
a rope with which a man hangs himself from a branch
life is perhaps a child returning home from school.

Life is perhaps lighting up a cigarette
in the narcotic repose between two love-makings
or the absent gaze of a passerby
who takes off his hat to another passerby
with a meaningless smile and a good morning .

Life is perhaps that enclosed moment
when my gaze destroys itself in the pupil of your eyes
and it is in the feeling
which I will put into the Moon's impression
 and the Night's perception.

In a room as big as loneliness
my heart
which is as big as love
looks at the simple pretexts of its happiness
at the beautiful decay of flowers in the vase
at the sapling you planted in our garden
and the song of canaries
which sing to the size of a window.

Ah
this is my lot
this is my lot
my lot is
a sky which is taken away at the drop of a curtain
my lot is going down a flight of disused stairs
a regain something amid putrefaction and nostalgia
my lot is a sad promenade in the garden of memories
and dying in the grief of a voice which tells me
I love
your hands.

I will plant my hands in the garden
I will grow I know I know I know
and swallows will lay eggs
in the hollow of my ink-stained hands.

I shall wear
a pair of twin cherries as ear-rings
and I shall put dahlia petals on my finger-nails
there is an alley
where the boys who were in love with me
still loiter with the same unkempt hair
thin necks and bony legs
and think of the innocent smiles of a little girl
who was blown away by the wind one night.

There is an alley
which my heart has stolen
from the streets of my childhood.

The journey of a form along the line of time
inseminating the line of time with the form
a form conscious of an image
coming back from a feast in a mirror

And it is in this way
that someone dies
and someone lives on.

No fisherman shall ever find a pearl in a small brook
which empties into a pool.

I know a sad little fairy
who lives in an ocean
and ever so softly
plays her heart into a magic flute
a sad little fairy
who dies with one kiss each night
and is reborn with one kiss each dawn.

NUEVO NACIMIENTO

y llegar a algo podrido y perdido
"me gustan
tus manos"

seni, kendinde tekrarlayarak
çiçeklenmenin ve yeşermenin sonsuz seherine götürecek

ben bu ayette seni ah çektim, ah
ben bu ayette seni
ağaca ve suya ve ateşe aşıladım

yaşam belki
uzun bir caddedir, her gün filesiyle bir kadının geçtiği
yaşam belki
bir urgandır, bir adamın daldan kendini astığı
yaşam belki okuldan dönen bir çocuktur
yaşam belki, iki sevişme arası rehavetinde yakılan bir sigaradır
ya da birinin şaşkınca yoldan geçişi
şapkasını geçtiği
başka bir yoldan geçene anlamsız gülümsemeyle "günaydın" diyen

yaşam belki de o tıkalı andır
benim bakışımın senin buğulu gözlerinde kendini paramparça yıktığı
ve bir duyumsama var bunda
benim ay ve karanlığın algısıyla birleştireceğim.

yalnızlık boyutlarındaki bir odada
aşk boyutlarındaki yüreğim
kendi mutluluğunun sade bahanelerini seyreder
saksıda çiçeklerin güzelim yok oluşunu
ve senin bahçemize diktiğin fidanı
ve bir pencere boyutlarında öten
kanarya ötüşlerini

ah...
budur benim payıma düşen
budur benim payıma düşen
benim payıma düşen
bir perde asılmasının benden aldığı gökyüzüdür
benim payıma düşen, terk edilmiş merdivenlerden inmektir
ve ulaşmaktır bir şeylere çürüyüşte ve gurbette
benim payıma düşen anılar bahçesinde hüzünlü bir gezintidir

ve "ellerini
seviyorum" diyen
sesin hüznünde ölmektir

ellerimi bahçeye dikiyorum
yeşereceğim, biliyorum, biliyorum, biliyorum
ve kırlangıçlar mürekkepli parmaklarımın çukurunda
yumurtlayacaklar

küpeler takacağım kulaklarıma
ikiz iki kirazdan

reiß ich mir von der Erde meinen Teil;

Ingeborg Bachmann

Current

So far in life and yet so near to death
that there's no one I can argue with now,
I rip from the earth my separate part;

I thrust its green wedge into the heart
of the calm ocean, as I wash aground.

Tin birds rise and cinnamon scents!
With my murderer, Time, I'm alone.
Drunk and blue we spin our cocoon.

Ingeborg Bachmann

(From "Darkness Spoken: Collected Poems" of Ingeborg Bachmann (1926-1973). Translated by Peter Filkins (Brookline, Massachusetts : Zephyr Press, 2006)

me arranco pues de mi parte de tierra;

m'impossesso della mia fetta di Terra;

Nell'ebbrezza blu, ci chiudiamo come crisalidi.

Ingeborg Bachmann

Akıntı

bunca yaşamda ve ölüme bunca yakın
o yüzden hesaplaşamıyorum kimseyle
koparıp alıyorum yeryüzünden kendi payımı

saplıyorum yeşil hançeri yüreğinin ortasına
atlas okyanusu'nun

No quise.
No quise decirte nada.

Vi en tus ojos
dos arbolitos locos.
De brisa, de risa y de oro.

Se meneaban.
No quise.

No quise decirte nada.

Federico García Lorca - (Canciones, 1921 - 1924)

Whispering to a girl

I did not want to
I did not want to tell you anything.

I saw in your eyes
two crazy little trees.
of breeze, of smile, and of gold

They are stirring
I did not want to

I did not want to tell you anything.

Federico García Lorca

All’orecchio di una ragazza

Non volli.
Non volli dirti nulla.

Vidi nei tuoi occhi
due alberelli folli.
Di brezza, di riso e d'oro.

Oscillavano.
Non volli.

Non volli dirti nulla.

Federico García Lorca

Bir Genç Kızın Kulağına

İstemedim, hiçbir şey
söylemek istemedim sana.

Gözlerinde iki çılgın ağaç gördüm,
gülüşten, esintiden, altından iki ağaç.
Kımıldanıp duruyorlardı, istemedim.

Sana hiçbir şey söylemek istemedim.

Federico García Lorca

The Book of Disquiet / Fernando Pessoa

"I asked for very little from life, and even this little was denied me. A nearby field, a ray of sunlight, a little bit of calm along with a bit of bread, not to feel oppressed by the knowledge that I exist, not to demand anything from others, and not to have others demand anything from me - this was denied me, like the spare change we might deny a beggar not because we are mean-hearted but because we don't feel like unbuttoning our overcoat."

Fernando Pessoa - (The Book of Disquiet)

The Book of Disquiet / Fernando Pessoa

"We are death. This thing we think of as life is only the sleep of real life, the death of what we truly are. The dead are born, they do not die. These worlds have become reversed for us. When we think we are alive, we are dead; we live even while we lie dying."

Fernando Pessoa - (The Book of Disquiet)

"Somos muerte.

Aldous Huxley - (Brave New World)

"Chronic remorse, as all the moralists are agreed, is a most undesirable sentiment. If you have behaved badly, repent, make what amends you can and address yourself to the task of behaving better next time. On no account brood over your wrongdoing. Rolling in the muck is not the best way of getting clean."

Aldous Huxley - (Brave New World)

Aldous Huxley - (Un mundo feliz)
